Wow, thank you!
On the blogroll page, I'm trying to get rid of the line under each post title that says something like "Posted December 8th, 2011 by admin".
I was able to do it on individuals post pages by modifying the "single.php" (deleted "div class="meta" section). But can't figure out which file controls it on the blogroll/news page that lists all posts. I seem to digg all php files and none of them even have "Posted" or "by" words.

Does anyone have any idea there I should look to remove that meta line under each post titles?

Amazing stuff here, thanks a lot!

I do have one problem though and that is when I assign posts to be displayed on the "Blog" page at the reading settings, the page doesn't listen to the page templates.

Whether I choose custom, full width, portfolio or any other template it just doesn't show the differences. Do you have any idea what's up?

Ash, this is because when you download the zip file it is not in the correct format for uploading to your webserver. The stylesheets and php files need to be in the root of any zip uploaded. To fix this unzip the package and look inside the top level folder, you will see four folders (licence etc etc). Re zip the folder called Simplefolio 1.5 which contains the stylesheets and upload this to the server, that should now work.

I'm also including a link to a page where the fix for the slider is mentioned in case anyone else comes across the same problem I have:

Hi Nathan, I tried following your tutorial but I don't think I am able to understand.

I'm trying to get it to display a static page as the homepage much like you are on your firefighter blog. I also would like the tagline above the homepage the same as your firefighter blog.

I'm using the latest version of wordpress and simplefolio from smashing magazine but when I try to set a page as the homepage it stills shows my posts.

Can you point me to where in your explanation I can follow to solve this problem? Cheers

I am not sure. I am running the theme on WordPress 3.2.1 currently. I am
sorry, but I am not familiar with the specific problem you are having.

Thanks for the tutorial. Does this theme work with the latest version of Wordpress? I uploaded it on my server, and in appearances section of admin it says theme is broken because stylesheet is missing. I downloaded it from smashing magazine site.
